Motocross is a form of motorcycle sport or all-terrain vehicle racing held on enclosed off road circuits. Motocross is derived from the French, and traces its origins to British Scrambling competitions. The name "motocross" is a portmanteau derived from the words "motorcycle" and "Cross Country".

 

Motocross racers must be extremely fit. You know...supermodel! Ok, not really but seriously, the sport is very demanding on the arms, legs, shoulders, and glutes. The rider has to be able to keep control of his machine on a course that most people would have difficulty walking across. High-speed landings from a height of around twenty feet can slam the motorcycle and its rider. G-forces produced by these can test a rider’s endurance and strength to the limit.

Some of the best motocross riders today originated from Florida. Remember, if you can kick-butt in this Florida soft sand, everywhere else is a cake-walk...

 

Motocross racing can be entered into as early as four years old. Children of this age use 50 cc bikes. Every year in early May, the American Motorcyclist Association (AMA) Championship Motocross Series is held. It consists of 24 races on 12 tracks across the United States. Each event is held on consecutive Sundays, and both 125 cc and 250 cc bikes race. The AMA Championship Motocross Series is considered the premier motocross race in the world and is as much fun for the spectators as for the participants.

 

When we are not snapping shots of other riders, we are out there also, playing in the dirt. We started talking (smack), I mean "shop" at Sunshine Motocross in Clearwater, FL. not too long ago and have become good friends ever since. We love the sport so much, it only made sense to start capturing some memories on camera. Regardless, if you are new to the whole motocross phenomenon or a seasoned rider, this sport is just plain addicting and tight.

Words out on the street. The Motocross Paparazzi (AKA: MotoPhotoStore.com) has been seen taken live, ACTION shots of you getting down & dirty in the TampaBay area...

 

Our site is set-up for riders and/or their parents and friends to navigate and locate motocross pictures very easily. Just type in your bike number (top-left corner) or select a practice or particular race (left panel). The site is updated on a weekly basis and if you cannot locate your picture(s), please contact us directly. We take hundreds of pictures and do not post every shot.

 

If you would like to have a private photography session, please submit a request for a quote. If we are already attending that particular track, there is no additional set-up fee. However, we need advance notice in order to meet you earlier. If you have another location in mind, our fees are nominal. Thank you!
